New details are emerging surrounding Amy Slaton's arrest.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star was allegedly in possession of marijuana and illegal mushrooms when she was taken into custody alongside Brian Scott Lovvorn on multiple drug and child endangerment charges, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department told People Sept. 3.
After responding to a call about Amy being bitten by a camel at the Tennessee Safari Park Zoo, police allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the 36-year-old's vehicle before discovering both drugs "in plain sight" inside, Crockett County Sheriff’s Department public information officer Stephen Sutton told the outlet.
Authorities allege that Amy—who shares kids Gage Deon Halterman, 4, and Glenn Allen Halterman, 2, with ex-husband Michael Halterman—then received onsite medical attention for the animal bite before being taken into custody, where she and Brian remain on $10,000 bond. Her children were then placed in the care of relatives, according to Sutton.
E! News reached out to reps for Crockett County Sheriff's Department and TLC for comment but has not heard back.
Following their arrests, Amy and Brian—whose relationship to the TLC star is unclear—were both charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI substances and two counts of child endangerment, the Crockett County Sheriff's Department shared in a statement to Facebook.
At the time, officials didn't say what led to the child endangerment charges or confirm whether Amy's kids were with her at the zoo, but the department did share her and Brian's mugshots and a message about the incident.
“The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence," read the Sept. 2 statement shared to Facebook. "The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.”
And while Amy has yet to speak out publicly about her arrest, she previously shared who she leans on when going through a challenging time: her sister and costar Tammy Slaton.
“This season on the show, you will see that Tammy let me move in with her," Amy told E! News in December. "She gave me and my kids a place to be safe. All my siblings have been there for me with whatever I needed."
