Selena Gomez loves her pal Francia Raísa like a love song, baby.
The singer proved she's still close with her longtime friend—who donated a kidney to her in 2017—by sharing a sweet birthday message to Francia on July 26.
Selena, 31, posted photos on Instagram that showed the pair enjoying a breezy ride in the backseat of a convertible car and hugging while wearing glamorous attire.
"Happiest of birthdays to this special human beings," she wrote to the 35-year-old. "No matter where life takes us, I love you."
As for how Francia rang in her milestone birthday? She started her day with a massage before celebrating with friends at a pool party, where she rocked an orange string bikini, a sun hat and red shades. As she quipped on her own Instagram page, "If I'm not in a bikini on my birthday then it's not my birthday."
The How I Met Your Father star also posted footage of herself taking shots with her besties before digging into a tropical fruit platter and gold-encrusted rose birthday cakes in the shapes of "3" and "5." Selena was not pictured in photos of the celebrations.
Selena's rare tribute to Francia comes a few months after the actresses addressed rumors of tension between them, which was sparked in November after the Wizards of Waverly Place alum said Taylor Swift is her "only friend in the industry."
At the time, Francia simply responded, "interesting" in a since-deleted comment on Instagram. But when a TikToker theorized about the drama, Selena weighed in to say, "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know."
Still, Francia started receiving hate online, telling TMZ in May, "It's not good at all. It's not fun either."
"Now I'm being bullied as I am and it's messing with me mentally," she confessed. "To me it's not what anyone wants for someone and she's literally out there saying please stop, so I don't understand why it's not stopping."
Francia also wanted haters to know that "in no way, shape or form does anyone condone bullying, especially Selena," who she pointed out "has a non profit dedicated to mental health."
However, Selena praised her "best friend" during an episode of Apple TV+'s docuseries Dear…, which dropped in March amid the rumors.
"I will never ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia," she said onscreen, though it's unclear when it was filmed. "The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming."
The Only Murders in the Building star, who was diagnosed with lupus in 2014, knows all too well that it's nice to have a friend like her. "I know I was so, so, so lucky," she added. "I understand that that doesn't happen for a lot of people and I know the outcome of some of those situations and how serious they are, so I do not take it lightly that it's happened to me that way."
