There's no more "What Ifs" when it comes to this year's Country Champion Award recipient.
Kane Brown will be honored for his passion for service and groundbreaking contributions to the country music industry and beyond during the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, NBC and Peacock announced Sept. 6.
“Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy will extend beyond music,” Jen Neal, the Executive Vice President of Live Events and Specials at NBCUniversal Entertainment, said in a statement. “His dedication to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspiring, and we’re thrilled to honor him with the Country Champion Award.”
And Brown is in good company. Last year, music icon Wynonna Judd received the first-ever Country Champion Award during the inaugural PCCAs ceremony.
Brown isn't the only star who will be recognized at this year's telecast. It was announced last month that Miranda Lambert will be honored with the Country Icon Award for her decades-long career and influence on the genre.
Plus, the legendary Shania Twain will be hosting the Sept. 26 show, so definitely expect a good time.
“Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love,” the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" singer said in a July statement. “Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Giddy Up!”
As for the star-studded list of nominees, Zach Bryan leads with 19 nods while Beyoncé follows with 17 noms for her 2024 country crossover album Cowboy Carter. Morgan Wallen, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey, Luke Combs and Jelly Roll are also up for top awards.
Don't miss the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards—held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville—on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
